The OMFG Running Festival Tech Tech Shirt Train and Tunnel design was inspired by The Swan View Tunnel.
The Swan View Tunnel is a former railway tunnel located on the southern side of the Jane Brook valley in the outer Perth suburb of Swan View in the John Forrest National Park on the edge of the Darling Scarp. After its closure as a railway tunnel, it reopened as part of the John Forrest Heritage Trail, a rail trail.
The OMFG Running Festival originally started in 2019 as a fundraiser for the On My Feet Group with a cheeky play on words to create a trail running festival within the nearly 2700 hectares of John Forrest National Park on Perth’s fringes.
The festival continues with ridiculously good trail runs of various distances throughout the event including Friday night Tunnel Runs and a Saturday Marathon!
Once again, we will continue our support of On My Feet taking donations in the lead up to the festival and throughout the weekend. Such a great charity supporting the homeless or at risk of homeless and their programmes of integration back into employment prospects and society through running.
Trail running this close to the city, events of varying degrees of difficulty, flora and fauna in abundance and views spectacular is a great formula for you and your friends to come and tackle the festival and fin out what the OMFG is all about.
